This beautiful property already had some established landscaping. While the client had a basic knowledge of gardening, they were looking for direction and guidance to better manage and enhance the existing garden areas.
We began with a walkthrough of the property to evaluate the current plantings and determine which plants should be removed or transplanted to make space for new additions. My primary focus was on two garden beds that ran the length of the property—one located in shade and the other receiving more sunlight.
The challenge was selecting plants that would thrive in both areas while still creating a cohesive and intentional overall design. Together, we decided to focus mainly on native perennials and shrubs that would complement the existing plants and support the surrounding landscape.
